•    The availability of the doctor: Doctors can be busy people, but this does not mean they should be around on a part time basis. If the clinic has limited hours because the doctor is limited, then this is a sign you need to go elsewhere.  A doctor who is part time has a full time job somewhere else, which means that he or she is not as devoted to this clinic as they are to their full time job that may be at a hospital.  You want to see a doctor who cares about what they do, and a doctor that has more than one job is too busy to really concentrate on the health and well-being of his or her patients.

 
•    The equipment:  You want to make sure that the clinic has the latest equipment that will benefit their patients. New equipment is coming out all the time, especially when it comes to helping people start families. Older or used equipment may be less expensive, but it also puts patients at risk for infection or failure. Every piece of equipment should come with some sort of sticker or plate that indicates when it was last inspected, and if it is more than one year, then the equipment is second hand.

When you first enter a fertility clinic, have a look around, and do not be afraid to ask the staff questions because you need to make sure that everything is legitimate before you agree to use this facility.  If the doctor does not come to the clinic often, or the equipment is not new, than these are definite signs that you need to turn around, leave, and look for a more reputable clinic.
