Autoresponders are one of the proven and effective marketing tools for any kind of business. These are a series of emails for anyone who signs up or buys you product. The emails are written and released in a way that they will have the most impact. The best way to do this is to have it done in autopilot. The problem is not many people know how to do these emails correct. The writing style, sequence or automation is sometime inconsistent. Write emails using these 4 pillars and you will never go wrong.
Clarity
The cardinal rule in any form of communication is clarity. Whatever you are a native English speaker or not you should make clarity a central pillar in your correspondence to customers. Clarity means you say what you men to say in an engaging manner without cleverness or bragging. Clarity also means that you do not display creative insufficiency or editorial sloppiness. Let the email recipients know what to expect at the beginning of your emails. Let them know what to expect in the coming days. Build excitement and avoid the disappointment that most emails I see these days have.
Focus
In you series focus on one thing. In addition, focus on one subject in each email. Test have shown that success in achieving your desires goals in the autoresponder emails is influenced by focus. Focus eliminates confusion in the reader’s mind. It reduces the possibility of readers abandoning reading the emails before taking action. Focus makes readers concentration rise and strikes out any distractions that arise.
Information
In your emails, display your expertise. Educate and inform without looking aloof. Write using simple words even if you are writing to intellectuals. Give people facts, ideas and strategies that can make their life better. Only then can you sell your ideas. Emails that are all a sales message act as a turnover and soon people ignore them. But those that are full of useful and relevant information get a better reception.
Call to action
Always tell readers what to do. Never assume that they know or will ‘get it’. The interpretation of readers will not always be the same. However, when you explicitly say what you want your reader to do, you minimize the misinterpretation. In your email sequences start slow and increase the pace with time. For instance if you have 7 emails you are writing, let the last two hit the reader the hardest.
